Our focus is on funding programs and projects that are making an important difference to those in need in Nepal. Almost 90 percent of funds are used to directly support the Himalayan Education Center, the Hopeful Home Orphanage, the Villages Library Project and Elevate Nepal Initiatives.
Nearly all of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to supported programs. We rely entirely on volunteers and have no employee/staff expenses in the United States. We do pay stipends to our Nepal-based program operators which are reflected in the project costs. We do not spend funds on marketing except for event promotions.
Ten Friends relies on a several funding sources for funding our programs. Over 60 percent of revenues are from donations made by individuals and from memberships by Friends of Ten Friends. Events that are held throughout the year also contribute to our resources. In addition, we receive contributions from corporations and grant funds.
